I hope your winter season was a happy and healthy one.

The last three months have kept me busy in a number of different directions:

I'm happy to announce that my debut fantasy novel—The Tale of Willaby Creek—will be published!

The release date for my middle grade book will be in June. (Watch for updates on my website, blog, Facebook, and Twitter pages.)

Shown below is a photo taken by my husband a few years ago at Willaby Creek Falls—the inspiration for my soon to be released animal adventure fantasy.

In January Michael and I visited the Oregon Coast at Cannon Beach for a long weekend. We spent much of the weekend outlining another project for the two of us to collaborate on; the working title for that picture book is Journey to Snowdonia. It is my current work in progress. We're hoping this children's book will have a release date around the holiday season of 2016.

Also in January, I traveled to Arizona to celebrate my mother's eightieth birthday. While I was in the Phoenix area I visited two bookstores where I discussed The Scandinavian Santa with the shop managers. We're hoping to have our yuletide book available in those stores this fall.
