Hello, friends!
As I expected, my summer months were chock-full of fun and exciting events; I hope yours were as well! Here are just a few of the highlights of my "storyteller's journey" since my last newsletter:
|
Yaquina Bay |
My husband and I took a short vacation on the Oregon Coast in July.
With the recent release of
The Tale of Willaby Creek, a big part of my summer was spent marketing the novel. Below are two photos from my book signings.

NW Book Festival—Portland, OR |
Art in the Heart—Vancouver, WA |
In late July I attended an annual writers' retreat with a dear writer friend, in Wildwood, Oregon. We had so much fun, besides putting pen to paper.
|
Salmon River on Mt. Hood |
I participated in a joint book release called
The Bear, The Baker, & Bigfoot at Vintage Books in Vancouver, WA in early August. It was a blast!
|
Yours truly, Carolyn J. Rose, & Ellie Alexander |
In the middle of August my husband and I, plus our two sons, attended a family reunion on my father's side. I saw relatives I'd not seen in decades!
|
Blue Lake Park in Fairview, OR |
The last few weeks I've been busy working on
Journey to Snowdonia—a short story that my artist husband is illustrating. It's another wintertime tale and has been loads of fun to work on.
If you live in the Pacific Northwest and would like to attend one of my book signings, visit my

As summer fades to fall, here's wishing you a wonderful harvest season!
