Hello friends, family, and fans of literature,

I hope you and your loved ones have had a great 2020 so far—in spite of the Coronavirus Crisis.

The new year found me in beautiful Hood River, Oregon. While my husband was out in the hills below Mt. Hood painting, I stayed inside our cozy hotel room working on a new Lindstrom Wintertime Tale.

Later in January, I hosted my critique partners, Kriston & Deb, at my home to plan our goals and events for the year. We're all looking forward to our annual writers' retreat this summer on the Sandy River in Oregon.

In the past twelve years my husband and I have hosted well over a hundred meetings in our home for both writers and artists. This year we've stepped back from that commitment a bit. Attending the Vancouver chapter of Willamette Writers this year has been such a treat for me. Meeting so many wonderful writers and hearing from fantastic authors has already enriched my life in 2020!

In the wake of the Coronavirus Crisis, my husband and I cancelled our spring getaway to Astoria, Oregon. It's important to remember the need for social distancing—and also to wash your hands! We'll all overcome this challenge if we're prudent, and don't panic.
